We recently moved and turned the space into a beautiful state of the art Dance Studio, in the Swan Commons Shopping Center, just west of McDonalds on Montauk Highway... We have three large rooms that we have (affectionately) named. The parking is unlimited and the oversized waiting areas have flatscreen tv monitors for viewing. The dance floors are specially designed and sprung for protection from injury while jumping or leaping.

    Families celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this Irish Festival, which features the pop-folk Irish band Celtic Cross, the female traditional Irish band Girsa, Micahel O'Rourke and the Black Velvet Band, The Hirten Family Irish Dancers and more.

    Families enjoy an afternoon of Irish entertainment, starring singer/songwriter, comedian Ed Ryan and dancers from the Mulvihill-Lynch School of Irish Dance in a St. Patrick's Day celebration.     An estimated 50,000 spectators are expected for this 60th annual St. Patrick's Day parade, along 25A in Miller Place, heading east three miles to Rocky Point.

    76th Annual Huntington St. Patrick's Day Parade - Huntington Ancient Order of the Hibernians
    March 14, 2010 - Huntington

    Celebrate the St. Patrick's Day holiday with the oldest and largest parade on Long Island, complete with over 25 marching bands. The parade will start start north of the train station, follow New York Avenue and turn west onto Main Street, ending at Saint Patrick's Church.

    Grow a Beanstalk - Hicks Nurseries

    Children under 12 are invited to plant a beanstalk during the nursery's flower show. They can it home and watch it grow. In May, place the plant outside and it will produce beans.

    Kids get a chance to create, imagine and perform in a live multi-media production in this class. They'll create music, words and images using technology and share empowering stories, then perform in the final production on stage. Each child receives an edited DVD at the end of 5 sessions.     In this 5-session class, Jim Turner will be using his unique trademark children's participatory rock concert JAM WITH JIM! to allow children to rock out.     Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with an exhibit of photographs, letters and other documents relating to the civil rights leader's life.The exhibit includes photos of Dr. King taken by Moneta Sleet, Jr., who was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1969 for his photograph of Coretta Scott King at her husband's funeral.     Arcadia/Suburbia: Architecture on Long Island, 1930-2010 - The Heckscher Museum of Art
    Through April 11, 2010 - Huntington

    This exhibit brings to light the impressive architectural history of Long Island, especially on the North Shore. It underscores the role Long Island played in the development of Modernist and Post-Modernist movements in the United States, and charts the region's development from a largely agrarian society and a significant leisure destination to a "mature" suburban culture. Children can experiment with their own architectural design. Huey wall text engages children and assists in understanding art and architecture. Through April 11.

    This Exhibition provides an original focus on the evolving depictions of American Childhood pleasures and pastimes of the early 19th century to 2008. The paintings, drawings, works on paper and sculptures by renowned American artists portray children experiencing pleasures of family and friends, the world of make-believe, holiday celebrations, games and toys, outdoor play, music and dance, and childhood mischief.     KaleidoZone - Light, Wind and Meryl Taradash - Long Island Children's Museum

    Families explore this exhibit, which features sculptor Meryl Taradash. Learn her process to create Wind Dancing, the sculpture located at the museum and see other works she has created. Through May 2.

    Aquatic Adventures: Sea Lion Kiss - Atlantis Marine World

    Each weekend, kids can get an up-close encounter-a kiss and keepsake photo-with a sea lion named Java. Saturdays and Sundays through Memorial Day, then offered daily in the summer. For kids 8 and up. Kids under 8 must be accompanied by an adult (with the adults receiving the kiss).
