Description: Meet a museum animal, explore the grounds, and do a craft or nature game.

Venue Description: The Greenburgh Nature Center (GNC), situated in Scarsdale, was founded by community efforts in 1973 with the purpose of preserving and protecting wildlife in the area. The Center?s mission is to foster an appreciation for and love of nature, as well as to promote research and conservation efforts. The GNC spans over 30 acres of land; this area serves as the home of native species as well as migrating birds. For visitors, the GNC offers the opportunity to see wildlife as they walk the Center?s trails, observe its serene pond, and stroll through its orchard. The GNC provides an ideal spot for educational and fun birthday parties that teach children about and engage them in the environment. In addition, the Center offers programs for adults, and events for the entire family centered on nature. In the summer, the GNC has a camp program, and during the school year, there are educational programs geared toward school field trips. The Greenburgh Nature Center?s indoor exhibits are open 9:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, 10am-4:30pm on weekends; closed Friday.
